Super Chocolate Chip Muffins

The other day it was a monsoon outside so I decided to happily stay inside and do some baking.

I may have cheated a little and used Betty Crocker Mix, but I did add some chocolate chips. And decoration all my own. I won't tell if you don't ;)

What do you do on rainy days to keep busy?

Lush Haul

Along with cosy pyjamas and festive movies, there is another activities I love to relish in the Winter months is lounging hot baths. So of course a trip to Lush to stock up was mandatory.

I love Lush, the smell, layout and the staff are second to none in how lovely they are! And to top it off they have lust worthy products... get it, 'Lush Lust', hehe ok Dad joke over.

I am loving the festive Lush collection  and it absolutely necessary to stock up on the top pieces.

The Butter Bear - Moisturising the skin, while being cute as a button.

Dashing Santa - Smells like Christmas and once in the bath looks like he is running about!

Father Noel - Very much like the Dashing Santa in smell but much bigger.

I adore all the Lush Lip Scrubs and this one is bright red and smells of fizzy cola bottles - I'm sold!

I can't believe its December already! What are you guys doing to get into the festive spirit?

Christmas Campaigns!

OK, So I know there has always been the eager folks waiting to see the Coca Cola Ad and you can include me in your group but has anyone noticed in recent years that Christmas Advertisng has re invited as a major event and something I know find myself eagerly waiting to see what new year stores across the nations have found to tug at my heart strings.

This has been a triumphant year in this department. Here are a couple of my favourite Christmas Campaigns from the last couple of weeks. Heres hoping it puts you in the festive spirits as they have for me!

The newest member of the favourites must be the Sainsburys one. Simple fantastic, a nod to history and I think its important to remember how lucky we are to be at home at Christmas with loved ones, not everyone can be.

As someone who has been waiting for family to come home at Christmas, and spends most of my Christmas in my car visiting family. Boots you hit the mark with this one.

If you were ever in doubt that the Beckhams are the Power Family of a Nation then here is Romeo Beckham, star of the Burberry Christmas Campaign.

For the Topshop Ladies, Have a Rock and Roll Christmas with Cara.

Speaking as the shy kid in the corner in Primary School, this one hit me hard, well done Waitrose.

Last but certainly not least in my opinion the Daddy of the Christmas Ad - John Lewis. I don't think a penguin has ever gotten me so emotional.

Any Christmas campaigns that brought a tear to your eye?
Whats been your favourite festival viewing ?

I Have An Addiction | Stripes

I LOVE STRIPES.

Blue and White being my favourite colour combination how could I not. And yes, my friends do mock me for it. But, with the addition of my millionth blue and white striped jumper I think they have earned that right.

I refuse to change this addiction now, I'm committed and I'm ok with it. I don't need help. I could quit if I wanted to. I swear... I COULD QUIT ANY TIME I WANT, OK?!

But for now have you seen this A.P.C. navy striped Jumper?

Whats your go to style ? Anything you have a million copies of in your closet ?

Dance It Out | 2

I have not done a music post in a long time and it was one of my liked posts so I thought it was high time to get another up here!

So this is what I've been listening to lately...

First up, Walkie Talkie Man now you might be like... wait what is this song? Well just have a listen and is you were a teen in the 00s then you will know it. I heard it again recently and Im loving the get up and go beat to it and going to add to my running playlist. Press play and enjoy the teenage flashbacks.

Next is my man of the moment George Ezra, English, dreamy and the most amazing voice. This is a taste of his music for you guys and my favourite. If you like it I highly recommend checking out his album, its fantastic.

I had to give a nod to woman of the hour Taylor Swift or T.Swifty as I like to call her. I mean 1989... INCREDIBLE, I loved it and I'm not ashamed to say it. But Blank Space is at the tied for the top prize along with Welcome to New York, though with a music video like this... Blank Space may have won the title. I would like to live in this music video and Sean O Pry aka the video model can stay right there too.

And last night I completely rocked out to Bon Jovi Greatest Hits. What can I say I like to keep things as random as possible.

What are you guys all listening to right now ? I'm always looking for some new tunes.

Lounging Sundays

Sundays in my household are most definitely the day of rest and relaxation. So Sunday demand only the comfiest of clothes. In my books this means the softest sweater I can find... this new J Crew cashmere is CALLING ME and a giant blanket and the latest issue of Vogue to flip through,

You can find my Lounging Outfit here

Branson Knows Best

Any Downton Abbey Fans out there? If so, you are looking at a fellow devotee.

I had instance love for The Abbey since 2010... Wow 4 years ago! How time flies.

I've adored Branson in the show since his arrival downstairs to his emergents in the world upstairs. His character is wonderfully written full of elegance and acted as such by the wonderful Allen Leech.

I was wondering about online and I came across this Branson quote from a past season and I absolutely love and agree with it.

Granted we could sit around and quote Downton Characters until the cows come home but I really do hold a candle to this one.

But enough of that... What did you think of the Downton Abbey Finale Last night?!

The Riot Club

I saw The Riot Club when it was released with a friend.

I'd been very interested by the story and fantastically strong young british cast that i'd been aware of its since its production. So once its was out in my local cinema I dragged my fellow private school survivor with me to see it one late Tuesday evening.

Several days later once A and I saw each other again, it sparked conversation when another friend asked should she see it. We said yes but I found I didn't even know how to recommend it.

As its one of those films you see and it remains at the forefront of your thoughts for a very long time afterwards but you don't know how to discuss it.

It's honestly  one of those films that I can't properly describe to do it justice.

But what I can say about The Riot Club or rather its members, is that they'll charm you, enthral you, seduce you, horrify and confuse you, all while making you so uncomfortable, that you won't be able to speak or look away from them.

# The One I Want Chanel No. 5

Have you all seen the new Chanel Campaign with Gisele Bundchen #theonethatiwant

Now, I'm a lover of Chanel through and through but I am particularly in love with this video.

Not only does it contain a chill enduring rendition of my favourite Grease song but also the wonderful Michiel Huism! The name doesn't sound familiar you say, well one look at the face and you won't be saying that!
He is the soldier dreamboat in Game Of Thrones Daario Naharis, bad boy musician Liam McGuiness in Nashville and everyone's favourite Mountain Dad Cal Morrison from Orphan Black. Thats right he's a man to know and remember folks. Next time you might just be seeing him in upcoming movie Adeline alongside Blake Lively!

Have a look through the stills of Gisele and once again be reminded why she is the goddess we all know and aspire to before taking a peak at the full video below.

What do you think of the campaign? I'm loving the surf vibe showing up, what are your thoughts?

Olivia Palermo for The Edit

There are few style mavens in the world that you can look to and think wow, they get it right.

But for me Olivia Palermo is most definitely one of those Ladies.

A fashionista, Blogger, Designer and now mogul she is one to watch... and aspire to!

I absolutely loved this shoot Olivia did for The Edit with Net A Porter. The Article was great too and well worth a read.

Life Lately...

I love the change in the air hat happens in Autumn. Everything is crisp and trees change from one colour into millions.

But for me, life lately can be summed up into a couple of things...

And of course getting back to you all, blogging!

What are you guys up to? Any Autumn traditions you are eagerly welcoming back ?

Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder...

Ok so don't get mad.

But yes, I have been gone for a long time. But I have some reasons, some I'll share and some I won't. Some of of the technical natural such like my computer went into a downward spiral after my last post. Now thinking I was going to America I figured this would be easily fixed, however I wasn't including the fact that I was living in a no internet zone of the Berkshire Mountains in Connecticut for 3 months in my plan.
I was working in a Summer Camp and I can say honestly it was one of the best summer I've had.

But kids, thats where I was.

Living and loving every moment of it. I made fantastic friends, some that I hope to keep with me for a very long time and moments I never want to forget and a feeling within myself that was a new and a wonderful thing.

But like all dreams there were some rocky moments. Which is why when I came back I held off on my return to the bloggo.

I love it on here and all you, my lovely readers but I had crazy life changing things happenings and very little time for them.

So I stayed away, waiting to return at a time when I could shed only a positive light on here.

In a world where there is so much upset and confusion this can be a place of lightness and somewhere to share thoughts and the happy and interesting things in life.

I know I've been gone a long time. But I'm back and better than ever and hoping you can forgive me and join me back on my journey.

Update: My Technology Hates Me

Hey All,

I have not been having a very good tech week.

So, I know I've absent up here on the Bloggo this week. Well first off the worst thing happened in the form of my computer crashing on me on Monday night when I was uploading new photos and new posts for y'all as well as some assignments for college. And when I say crashed I mean gone, done-zo with all my pictures, softwares AND my assignment gone.

So after an hour conversation with the Apple tech support (who were very nice and helpful) it was confirmed I have to have my computer repaired, this was done and I'm now in the process of getting all my backed up hard drive files returned to my newly repaired but completely naked and empty computer.

Along with this in the crash I also lost 2 assignments I had completely finished that were not backed up so I'm also doing those.

And did I mention I'm trying to do this while also in bed with a nasty virus?... I must have caught it from my computer ;)

Yup that was pretty much me all week. Not so fun.

I then thought I saw the light at the end of the tunnel of the tech world, alas happiness was not mine. When trying to get all my photo softwares and softwares I use to work on Blog posts I then discovered my dvd disc drive was no longer working so I can't upload any of softwares because I have them all licensed and from discs. Enter second call to Apple Tech Support.

So right now there is nothing I can really do except send my computer away to be fixed.

However, I didn't get a chance to tell you guys yet but I'm starting travelling next week! Which Im very excited about and first stop for my 2 and a half months of travelling is to NYC to see some friends so I've decided to wait until I get to NYC to get my computer fixed there.

So the Bloggo is going to be pretty quiet until then but I do promise to be back and as soon as possible with TONS of new posts and pictures of my travels, along with all the usuals like ' I'D WEAR, music recommendations, daily insights and maybe even some recipes :)

If you're wondering more about my travels I'm heading off to NYC next week for a week to see some friends and family then up to Connecticut for 8 weeks to work in an AMAZING Summer Camp then off to San Francisco to chill and try the Cali Girl life for a week for my sister from another mister Kim and maybe another spot after that, but who knows... I guess you'll have to come back and say hello, to find out!

Summer Lunch with the Girls

Sorry all, no edition of 'I'd Wear' this week, I'm currently getting ready for a long trip (Of which I'll tell you more about soon, eager beavers) so I've been run ragged arranging things and getting work together.

But before I head off and many of my friends depart also on Summer trips, we wanted to get together for a catch up and some good conversation.

The lunch was a gathering of the girls I went to school with. We stayed in good company post school and always have fun together when we meet up.

Thus a fabulous summer lunch was had.

A totally deliosous lunch spread was feasted on with everything from goats cheese, smoked salmon, mozerella and tomato salad, lots of leaves and iced tea.

And, I can't forget the amazing brown pasta salad made by our host Lucy, a recipe I'll have to get from her to pop up here!

It was a great afternoon that extended late into the evening. Lots of laughter, sharing of news and excited chatter on the upcoming things in our lives was enjoyed, with the added bonus of sitting in the garden under the sunshine while doing so.

Have a great weekend everyone, and if it's sunny where you are going out and enjoy it. If you're anything like me It'll put a big smile on your face.

Summer Jewellery Haul

So I've got a little obsession going on at the minute and that is in the form of midi rings and ear lobe stacking.

A funny obsession I know but a style I love for this coming summer to add a little something to your everyday outfits.

My latest haul has been from ASOS and River Island (I'm particularly loving River Island right now.)

Over the last couple of years I've really grown into wearing gold jewellery and for Summer I think there is nothing better than a white dress and gold accessories

On my ear I'm wearing...

River Island

Infinity Gold Stud Earrings (Buttom)

I bought the studs ages ago in Claires with my goddaughter. I love the TV Show Revenge so I couldn't leave them behind. Fellow Revenge fans will understand why. (If you don't watch Revenge, START! It's great edge of your seat watching & the style is fabulous) I don't have a Link for the earrings but similar are easily found in Claires regularly.

All the pieces I've included are very cheap and cheerful and what I'm currently loving for Summer.

Anything you're loving on the high street for this Summer ?
