Summer Lunch with the Girls

Sorry all, no edition of 'I'd Wear' this week, I'm currently getting ready for a long trip (Of which I'll tell you more about soon, eager beavers) so I've been run ragged arranging things and getting work together.

But before I head off and many of my friends depart also on Summer trips, we wanted to get together for a catch up and some good conversation.

The lunch was a gathering of the girls I went to school with. We stayed in good company post school and always have fun together when we meet up.

Thus a fabulous summer lunch was had.

A totally deliosous lunch spread was feasted on with everything from goats cheese, smoked salmon, mozerella and tomato salad, lots of leaves and iced tea.

And, I can't forget the amazing brown pasta salad made by our host Lucy, a recipe I'll have to get from her to pop up here!

It was a great afternoon that extended late into the evening. Lots of laughter, sharing of news and excited chatter on the upcoming things in our lives was enjoyed, with the added bonus of sitting in the garden under the sunshine while doing so.

Have a great weekend everyone, and if it's sunny where you are going out and enjoy it. If you're anything like me It'll put a big smile on your face.

Summer Jewellery Haul

So I've got a little obsession going on at the minute and that is in the form of midi rings and ear lobe stacking.

A funny obsession I know but a style I love for this coming summer to add a little something to your everyday outfits.

My latest haul has been from ASOS and River Island (I'm particularly loving River Island right now.)

Over the last couple of years I've really grown into wearing gold jewellery and for Summer I think there is nothing better than a white dress and gold accessories

On my ear I'm wearing...

River Island

Infinity Gold Stud Earrings (Buttom)

I bought the studs ages ago in Claires with my goddaughter. I love the TV Show Revenge so I couldn't leave them behind. Fellow Revenge fans will understand why. (If you don't watch Revenge, START! It's great edge of your seat watching & the style is fabulous) I don't have a Link for the earrings but similar are easily found in Claires regularly.

All the pieces I've included are very cheap and cheerful and what I'm currently loving for Summer.

Anything you're loving on the high street for this Summer ?

Only One Direction For Me, Croke Park!

Hey there everyone. I know I've been a very bad blogger recently and been MIA but unfortunately I was up ill in weeks previous and last week was playing catch up on life in general. But my catch was very fruitful and quite exciting really so I have lots of news to tell you about in posts to come but for right now I'm going to let you all in on what I got up to last Friday night.

So some of you might of heard of this tiny little band called One Direction. They are pretty secret but I just happen to know about them ;)

Well they took a trip to Ireland last weekend and put on a couple of low key shows, for 88,000 people. You know, just a casual thing.

I went with my friend Jan and well we allowed that for one night only we would act a little giddy and silly and sing our lungs out with 88,000 others.

As you can see I was pretty excited.

5 Seconds of Summer played opening and they were pretty fantastic and a little rock onstage which surprised me honestly but I have say I liked.

Before we knew it, fireworks shot into the air and the men of the hour stormed the stage.

...in glorious fashion I might add.

But then I may have been just staring at Harry for the first 10 minutes.

Whatever your thoughts on One Direction, they certainly put on a show in Ireland.
Fireworks, Streamers laser lights it was a mile a minute and they were fantastic.

This guy above received a heroes welcome, with erupting screams that could deafen every time Niall was singing, on screen or well...breathing.

I have to say I was very happy with our on Pitch view.

The energy of the crowd however couldn't keep the rain away and some serious showers started when the sun went down.

Receiving some shelter in the crowd I didn't mind that much, but I have to give it to the boys who instead of retreating to the main stage, stayed out on the stands on sang on through the hits of rain.

I'm so happy I went and honestly I'd go again in a second.

**Sorry if some of the pictures are not good, all from mine and Jan's phones that night.

I'D WEAR | Outdoor Concert

Hey there my readers,

Sorry I've been MIA this I'd taken ill but I'm back and for this weeks edition of 'I'D WEAR' I've gone a little bit more edgy than my previous posts but you know what, guys I'm feeling a little edgy today!

So this is a look I've envisioned for an outdoor concert or something of similar mind like a festival.

I've fallen in L.O.V.E with those studded moccasins but then I am lover of all to do with Isabel Marant.

Also today loving the Topshop Palm Printed tee, so on trend for this season and though I'm not a trend follower per say I'm liking this one for Summer big time.

Also can we please have a moment of adoration for that cap! I actually came to see this Cap via twitter and it's from the awesome guys over at Holiday Matinee

A thinking cap for when you need your 'Thinking Cap'! Genius!

Running with Good Tempah

I haven't done one of this post in a while but honesty I haven't had that much time to listen to my iPod lately.

But with the long sunny evening we're been having I've been going out running.

And I don't know about you guys, but I must have good music to listen to when I run. Its the only way I can keep going.

And lately I've been having a little love affair with Tinie Tempah whilst running.

Tinie Tempah Blog Music

I love the beat to the music, the sound and that it still has the 'you could sing along sometimes' element to it as well.

Tinie Tempah - Trampoline

Tinie Tempah - Lover not a Fighter

Tinie Tempah - Pass Out

I generally listen in that order and save Pass Out until I get near the end of my run because I find it great to kick my butt up a gear and help me power through the last bit of the run and keep moving at a good speed.

Is there songs you guys love to listen to while you exercise ?

Sound off in the comments I'd love to know.

Stand Out

A very simple message on the bloggo today and for this Monday .

I found this image on Tumblr a while ago and thought it was so fantastically funny and full of attitude I had to share it with you all.

Stand Out

So in conjunction with this pic, I'm going to throw some ideas your way.

Never be afraid to be your own person;  if you want to chose a different path for life, music or hobby or whatever. Do. Don't let anyone else change you or change to suit other people.

Be yourself and be happy and healthy in your own skin.

Love as you want to be loved, laugh as often as possible and cherish the little moments.

If you can do all this, then, life after that shouldn't be too bad...

But in case... maybe has a dance about as well.

I'D WEAR | Summer Loving

Now that the Sunshine is lasting well in the evening, I can partially smell Summer stress free days.

Summer Fashion Blog J Crew Kate Moss Topshop

But to be stress free you need to have the perfect outfit ready to go. I'd love this kind of outfit for picnics, a leisurely walk or paired with a light jacket, a nighttime barbecue.

Making It Mine

So remember when I told you all I moved, well I've been in residence for a while now and I love the house.

It's starting to become more and more of my own with of course some little touches to make it more personal and like me.

Hanging some fabulous prints on the walls. I love this print of Audrey Hepburn, its not one you commonly see so I think it makes it all the more special.

Bringing all my favourite novels and coffee table books along for the ride...

And, of course tons of fresh flowers, I love flowers and put a bouquet in a room and to me it will look a million times better and fresher.

Its all coming to together and getting into my flow in the new place. I only wish I could live here longer. I guess I'll just have to make the most of my last couple of months before my next adventure (but more on that later! ;) )

Met Gala 2014

This morning I woke up like a giddy school girl.

Which after a long break holiday weekend of the family affair persuasion was no easy feat but I had some dresses to drool over!

You see it was Fashion Christmas last night and I was in prime position to open my gifts this morning.

So here is a rundown of some of my favourites (in no particular order) -

  Met Gala 2014 Best Dressed

Suki Waterhouse in Burberry - The picture perfection of in the girly frill laden dream.

Cara Delevingne in Stella McCartney - Ever the rebel Cara opted to ditch to gown and wear pants to the Ball and Cara I salute you for it!

Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Couture - Monochrome magnificence!

Blake Lively in Gucci - I mean I just don't even know where to start with Mrs Lively... Do the Romans know they missing a Goddess?

Met Gala 2014 Best Dressed

I had to give a shout out to the Power Couples from last night.

What a night they did have! Head to toe fashion perfection times two, it's kind of hard not to stare to be honest with you all... ;)

Met Gala 2014 Best Dressed

Victoria Beckham in (of course) Victoria Beckham - Well when you are one of hottest designers of the moment, who else would you wear?! Sheer minimalist perfection, Victoria any chance I can borrow...??

Kendall Jenner in Topshop  - WHAT a way to debut at the Met Gala, Kendall I hope you had a good time because you a destined to be attending many more in the future!

Leighton Meester in Emilio Pucci - I was on the fence with this dress but after some of the glorious dresses in Leighton's past, but on closer inspection that beading is so detailed beautifully and a style of dress I just love and would honestly love to wear myself! ...Gladiator Goddess comes to mind!

Reese Witherspoon in Stella McCarthy  - I've been a lover of Ms Witherspoon's style for years! And last night she did not disappoint. Classic, vibrant and definitely a best look for Reese!

BUT... I did save the best for last...

Drumroll please...

Cue Miss Emma Stone!
